The X-Series signal converters offer proven technology and flexible assembly of the base units. Digital (DVB-C / -S(2) / -T(2)) and analog input signals can be processed and prepared for feeding into the cable network as DVB-C, PAL, or FM signals.
The X-Series head-end modules are equipped with bandpass filters, which are used depending on the selected output channel. This results in a reduced broadband noise of these modules.
The main difference between the X- and V-Series signal converters is the outstanding signal quality even after merging several Base Devices. This is achieved by using channel-selective output filters. This minimizes the broadband noise generated by each modulator. Nevertheless, the modules remain fully tunable over the entire frequency range. In addition, many V-Series plug-in cards are available in a version with CI interfaces, which enables decoding of encrypted programs.
All ASTRO head-end modules are equipped with bandpass filters, which are used depending on the selected output channel. This already leads to a reduced broadband noise of these modules. Since every dB S/N is important in large networks and the ASTRO V-series is used in these networks, the optional channel-selective output filters were introduced for this series. This results in optimal output parameters.
